Change Your World

I know, it's been long since I have been offline. Sorry for that.

In ISCA, we started this series of projects called, "Change Your World". It's a series where it challenges us to change our world.

We are all so excited, even after our first session, about changing our world for the better. The videos we watched were stirring and compelling. We had a great time with the sessions.

In our cell group (rotibab1), we thought about how we could actually change our world. We had an idea, our CG's assistant leader saw a website which talks about Adopting A Child. They would choose for us which child they want us to sponsor, (not our choice!) and we would pay for the child's various needs. (sounds more like Sponsoring A Child) We haven't decided whether we should actually go for this campaign, but I'm hopping is a yes.

Other CGs are doing some other projects to change their world. Some want to visit the old folks home, others want to give gifts to the poor in the Rifle Range Apartments. This project is making big impact to churches all around Penang. I hope this projects will give me courage to change the world :)

Oh! Another thing, after these sessions, we'll be doing is to have a rally with all the other youth churches, this rally is titled: Change The World; It Starts With YOU!! Peeps who come for this indoor rally will have a free CD from a popular christian rock band (O0ps, I forgot the name of the band <:P ) For more info, call Wilson at 012-5717065.

Casandra's leaving...OOOH! Well miss u

There is always a time to have fun and be together. But there's always a time where somebody have to leave.

Our dear Casandra Tham is leaving for Perak (or Sarawak, that's what Bernard said). I don't know her, but I do know her brother, Derrick Tham. I could picture her sitting with Sarah Choong, crying *sob, sob*... But I'll remember her in my heart.

The Shack...ooh I love it!

Hi. do you want to read a novel that really is an impact and is wrestles to what we know about Christianity? Then I suggest that you would have a copy of The Shack. It is really moving and really impacts the way I see Christianity. It is sooo... indescribable. I really wish you would take your time to have a look at it!

If you would have read the second last blog, You would have had in mind to ask me one month later about the camera (if your really like a camera fan like me), and wait for my answer. Well, that won't be necessary.

Hike to Pantai Kerachut

So, another day awaits for me like usual? NOT THIS TIME!

It's Saturday, 7:45AM waiting at Penang National Park and it's time to tell about PCC's youth outing to Kerachut Beach.

There (at the entrance) waiting at the Penang National Park for the youth and our Youth Intern, our faithful Wilson who was planning this outing. I arrive only to find no one there. Some came on time, *like youth people always do, the rest came late* Well... never mind. It was always better than not coming, it would have been worst if they did not come.

Anyways, after they've arrived; the boys ,like me for instance, went on with playing a few warm ups, which was like playing volleyball, football or some ball; *I don't quite know what it was exactly, but never mind that.* and girls started taking fancy pictures of themselves. While playing, we came across a very long millipede (about 1 1/2 feet long, correct me if I'm wrong). Thank God it wasn't a centipede! The girls would've screamed even more and the boys would have taken it very seriously.

Wilson asked us later to group in our cell groups. We grouped into ours, which I can say, created this blog page for you to know more of us. ;) Soon we're praying for the trip to go well, and we're off.

Chatting something I don't wanna know.

We were now talking our way with the group shown above, and went on our way to Kerachut Beach!

Now I thought the road was going to be concrete like the crazy stone lining above, but I found out no. The road was a jungle road!, And it leads through miles of hiking across the jungle over hills and streams. No doubt it was fun, hehe :-)

It was hard too. once I've went far behind but managed to catch up with them. But God kept me and that group safe as we journey the rest off our way through.

We finally have reached to a Y-junction. I thought to go to the one going uphill, Oon Feng Insisted on going downhill, which I was guessing it was shorter. So we continued up and down the hills and finally, we have arrived.

Now we joined the rest of the youth in the team. Though the hike was exhausting, the outcome was worth it. Although some of us found out that Wilson and a few of the others had gone there through motorboat. We were a little jealous.

Then we played a few games like Frisbee, Captain Ball, and Volley Ball

Then, at noon, we were ready to leave. Wilson got all of us to eat at least one packet of nasi kandar. We took a group photo. Soon the boats arrived and I took the slow one. One thing it's good is because I can enjoy the scenery and be not afraid of splashes, while the other boats splash like mad onto the water, decently wetting the passengers on board.

Well, we arrived late.But thank God, Because we didn't have a problem at all (except for stopping the boat). We all head out of the boat and we went our separate directions at 2:30PM.

We meet at PCC (which is our church) and told ourselves the effects of it. as well as for some people who have red skin due to sunburn. Yet it was great having such a time like this together to enjoy God's nature.

And that is the end of the wonderful epics of Church Youth Outing!

Waiting... Waiting is... Waiting is a... Waiting is a Lesson!

I have long been waiting 4 a time that will come where I would have...

... A Nikon D60!!! (If you want to know specificly what it is, click on thishttp://imaging.nikon.com/products/imaging/lineup/digitalcamera/slr/d60/index.html)

But i wonder, have you ever waited for 1month!! for that something? Well... that's what I am going through RIGHT NOW!!

Wanna know why I'm waiting? Well, when I went 2 see the Nikon D60, the price was quite high but compatible (about RM2,000; to say). But he let me have a choice. Whether to buy now, or to wait until August. One thing that may be good about waiting to August is that it will certainly lower their price by RM200. Which save me money not only to have brought a single lens (included in the price), but to buy one with a higher mm. which can let me zoom further.

The hurting thing is...I choose Waited

I actually wanted to have a D-SLR Camera, which is called Digital - Single Lens Reflect Camera
since last year. I've been kinda dreading for it. so you know my decision was painfull when i choose to wait. But i haven't gone to d' blog ever since, so i'm telling you now about it now.

I thing the Lord is testing my patience at the same time & asking me who I am worshiping: Him ...or THE CAMERA?.

Loving God is all I wanted to do in my life. So I decided to put that 4th in my life.

So... Is Waiting A lesson?

Hi would you be very fortunate if you had a chance to go 2 U.S.A.? (a.k.a. United States of America) I had my chance hehe. :-D The photo above is taken in Orlando Disneyworld. I only know that it should be the largest disneyworld ever. I don't know wheather it is true or not, but I really enjoyed my time there in 2007. I hope one day you also can go too.

PS: this was in 2007 and I'm only 11 by age. So at that time you probably never knew me at that time

And the pleasure of posting first! Haha, so in victory I finally managed to crack the "email" because our dear cell leader, Joshua Ooi forgotten the email but remembered the password.
